Explain the difference between gravity and the force of gravity? (Very confused..)?

Ok, so we know that objects with different masses (lets say a bowling ball and a marble) but the same shape fall at the same time because their acceleration is 9.8m/s^2. Which is also the gravitation field strength.

We also know that the force of gravity that is exerted on objects varies depending on the objects mass. Why is this? If the gravitational field strength is constant, shouldn’t all objects feel the same force, why is mass a factor?

I think i might be confusing the definitions. Please clear things up for me.
Thank you!
And since mass is a factor….why don’t objects fall at different rates?

Looking for a Bowling Tutorial? Check Out These Three Tips!

If you are looking for a bowling tutorial, you have come to the right place!  I want to offer some really basic, yet powerful pieces of advice that should help you with your bowling game!  I am also going to show you where you can read about my story and how I became a better bowler!

So here we go!

Bowling Tutorial # 1

Don’t be afraid to try a heavier ball!  Just because the ball is light and you can throw it hard, doesn’t mean that you are doing what you SHOULD be doing!  A heavier ball is actually much more effective than a lighter ball.

Now I’m not saying to go from an 8 pound ball to a 16 pound ball, but if you can comfortably hold a 10 pound ball, use that instead of a lighter ball.  You will actually get less ball deflection with the heavier ball!  This will result in a better game!

Bowling Tutorial # 2

Try slowing down your approach!  I touched on this above, but if you are rushing because you want to whip the ball down the lane as fast  as you can, you are actually going to lose a lot of accuracy!  Slow your steps down and focus ONLY on where you want your ball to go.  It doesn’t matter how hard you roll that ball, accuracy will top power ANY day!

Bowling Tutorial # 3

Let the bowling ball do the work for you!  When you bring the ball up during your approach, you should just be letting the ball and gravity do the work for you.  What I’m getting at is that the power shouldn’t be coming from how hard you are trying to throw the ball, rather it should come from the ball naturally coming down.  This will not only increase your accuracy, but it is also less wear and tear on your body!

I hope that you have enjoyed this little bowling tutorial.  If you follow these, I am confident that you will see an improvement in your game!  It’s just a matter of practicing and applying these simple methods to your bowling game!

How to Learn Bowling – Is There is an Easy Way How to Learn Bowling?

The short answer is yes, there is an easy way how to learn bowling IF you are willing to do what is being taught.  See, the biggest this with learning anything new is being able to not absorb what is taught, but you must be able to apply it as well.

That being said, here are some really good, yet easy tips when beginning how to learn bowling -

Tip Number One –

Slow down!  You don’t need to throw the ball as fast as you can in order to do well in bowling.  How to learn bowling doesn’t revolve around how hard you throw the ball.  At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is your score, right?  So slow down on your approach and stay focused on the pins rather than how many miles per hour you are throwing the ball!

Trust me, accuracy will be power any day!

Tip Number Two –

A lighter ball is NOT the answer!  If you are just a casual bowler, you most likely use the house balls.  Now before you reach for that 8 pound ball, ask yourself if you can get away with a 10 pound ball.  Remember, you aren’t trying to throw it as hard as you can.  Let the gravity of the ball do the work!

There’s something called deflection.  What happens is the weight of the ball cannot plow straight through the pin.  Basically what happens is the ball sort of “bounces” of the pins.  With a heavier ball striking the pins, your chances of having a problem with deflection is decreased.

Tip Number Three –

If you want to begin how to learn bowling, you are going to need to experience failure!  Sorry, but it’s true.  You are not always going to bowl a perfect game or a 600 series.  That is OK though!  Be sure that you allow yourself to accept failure only IF it is going to make you a better bowler!  Use it as motivation do learn more and fix whatever isn’t going right.

Using failure to your advantage is a very powerful mindset, but few people know how to do this.  If you can get this down, you are going to do just fine when you begin how to learn bowling!

i can’t decide on which new bowling ball to get.?

2619033862 8ab7067786 m i cant decide on which new bowling ball to get.?
okay so ive been bowling about 9 years and finally made my varsity bowling team this year (season actually just ended today) and i want a new bowling ball to practice with all summer and use next season. right now i have an ebonite tornado and its just not hooking enough to my liking. i dont want a major hook but i dont want to have to throw a straight line at the pocket to get a strike (i dont have a high rev rate either and the lanes i bowl on are medium to high oil so im not getting any movement out of my tornado). i was thinking ebonite playmaker, brunswick swarm, storm virtual gravity, hammer anger raw, or black widow bite. any suggestions?

How does the statement, “I don’t believe in evolution” make any sense?

156504106 669f7b67e2 m How does the statement, I dont believe in evolution make any sense?
I can say, “I don’t believe the Earth is round” or “I don’t believe the Earth rotates around the Sun.” But my belief doesn’t really matter. Nature does not require belief in order for its processes to happen. It moves all the same, with or without my belief or my perception (yes the falling tree makes noise).

So how is it that evolution, unique among scientific concepts, is subjected to one’s opinion?

Responders, please avoid telling me that evolution is just a “theory.” “Theory” in the scientific sense carries a different connotation than “hunch.” Within science, gravity is just a theory after all. Understand the scientific use of “theory” before throwing it back at me.

Related to this question, try this experiment: Try holding a 20 lb bowling ball above your foot, saying “I don’t believe in gravity,” and letting go. Did your “belief” change the result?
When questions defending evolution have appeared in this forum before, there’s usually a quick and thorough response from those who take a literal interpretation of religion–for lack of a better term, the fundamentalists.

I find the lack of a quick response by fundamentalists to this question very interesting.
